Enjoy Increased Security with Chip Card Technology

At Dollar Bank, the security of your accounts and personal information is our priority. As part of the evolution of payment products, chip cards provide an extra layer of security.

All Dollar Bank credit and debit cards have an embedded chip for increased security.

How Are Chip Cards More Secure?

Each time your chip card is used at a chip-enabled payment terminal, the chip generates a unique transaction code to complete the purchase. This makes the card information more difficult to copy.

Using Your New Chip Card is Easy!

Step 1

Insert chip end of your card,
facing up, into the terminal.

If a merchant does not have a chip-enabled terminal yet, you can still make purchases using your card’s traditional magnetic strip.

If you’re not sure if a merchant has a chip-enabled terminal set up yet, you can ask the cashier and they should be able to guide you with how to complete your purchase.

Each time your chip card is used at a chip-enabled terminal, the embedded chip generates a unique transaction code to complete the purchase. This makes the card information more difficult to copy.

Does chip card technology prevent all card fraud?

No. While chip cards provide an enhanced layer of protection, criminals are constantly searching for new ways to commit identity theft. Dollar Bank will continue to monitor your cards for fraudulent activity and as mentioned, with your new chip card you still have Zero Liability Fraud Protection.* If you notice any suspicious activity on your account, or your card is lost or stolen, contact us immediately.
